Instructions


Ensure you have carefully reviewed the Tree Protection Bylaw. Then, complete the following form fields, upload the required documents, and click the 'submit' button. Planning staff will review your application, then contact you for fee payment and/or additional information if needed. This initial review typically takes one week.

Note: it is the applicant's responsibility to check for any underground services before removing any tree(s).

  • If the applicant is not the registered owner, upload a signed Letter of Authorization (PDF) to list all owners, their addresses, contact information and signatures. 
  • If the property is within a strata, upload a completed Letter of Authorization for Strata Properties (PDF).
  • If the owner is an incorporated company/society, attach a current corporate/society search or "notice of directors."

Proposed dates and hours for on-site works and tree removal, and anticipated completion dates for replanting must be included in either the Letter of Intent or the Arborist Report.
