Application to Host a Block Party

Block parties are a great way to get to know your neighbours, build a sense of neighbourhood, and celebrate being a Port Moody resident.

Have your party on the street, in common spaces of townhouse complexes, in front of apartment buildings or in nearby parks.

To apply, fill out the online form below. Then:

1.Get your neighbors’ permission. You'll need signatures from 65% of the households on the block whose property is affected by the party. You can download the form here.

2. Please submit the completed signature form for approval to Cultural Services Events Assistant, or drop it off at the Recreation Complex front counter located at 300 Ioco Rd.

Indemnification

By signing below you affirm the following:

Agree to keep all fire hydrants in the area of the block party clear and unblocked; keep access open to emergency vehicles.

Agree to keep alcohol on private property; be respectful of party noise and not amplify music; make tables and other structures easy to move; and clean up afterwards.

Agree to indemnify and hold the City of Port Moody and its respective officers, employees, agents, and elected officials harmless from and against any and all actions, causes of action, claims, losses, debts or demands as may be made at any time hereafter in respect of any negligent acts or omissions of the participants listed hereunder in the carrying out or intended carrying out of the Block Party.
